He shoots! He scores!
Thursday, February 25, was a special night for Landon Doucette, a 12-year-old representative of the Aldergrove Minor Hockey Association who lived out a dream of skating with the illustrious Vancouver Canucks.
Landon was selected to skate with the NHL team and it was an amazing evening of skills and thrills.
He led the team out onto the ice, stood with the towering Canuck players on the blue line while the Canadian national anthem was sung, chatted with players as they practiced and appeared on the Rogers Arena jumbo screen.
Landon brought the Canucks some good luck as they defeated the Ottawa Sentators 5-3 and after the game the team’s President, legendary ex-player Trevor Linden, presented Landon with the game puck.
A night to remember for Landon, who plays for the AMHA PeeWee Warriors.
