Oceanside Youth Football is hosting its first annual charity golf tournament later this month, and organizers are hoping for a full field.
Slated for Saturday, August 24 at Eaglecrest Golf Club, the event is a four-person scramble with a 3 p.m. shotgun start.
Cost to participate (and help the cause) is $70 for golf/dinner/prizes (cart included), or $35 for dinner/prizes.
There will be team and door prizes and a shot at a $5,000 cash Hole-In-One prize donated by Crashpad Collision.
“All funds raised go to help Oceanside Youth Football with purchasing new pads, practice equipment and insurance/general fees,” says Brad Burns, OYF vice-president and head coach of the Jr. Bantam Titans team, adding “events like this help keep youth football in the Oceanside are affordable for all families.”
To sign up for the tourney, as a team or an individual, go to the OYF website at oceansideyouthfootball.ca or sign up at the Eaglecgrest pro shop. Deadline for entries is Aug. 19.
