Club teams are known as the Comox Valley Strikers. For many years, the club has been running competitive teams for boys and girls 12 to 18, often fielding as many as 10 teams per season across all age groups.

The club is hoping to branch out this year and offer a competitive U12 team (players born in 2007) if there is interest.

In addition to training during the week, all teams enjoy playdays and tournaments on the island, and usually travel to one large event on the mainland mid-season. All teams finish the season in the spring with a trip to the Volleyball BC provincial event in Vancouver. Senior teams have been known to travel to other provinces for the nationals event in May.

The club’s popular Junior Strikers program runs for eight weeks from February to April for younger athletes (Grades 4-6). This fun program gives players an opportunity to learn and strengthen volleyball skills in a safe and non-competitive environment.

New and returning players, and their parents, are encouraged to attend Thursday and sign up for their 2019 team. Tryouts will take place in December with practices beginning in January.
