Because of a lengthy writers’ strike, many television series did not have new episodes in the fall of 2023.

The strike lasted from May 2 to Sept. 27 and is tied as the second-longest Writers Guild of America strike on record.

New shows are about to resume in February.

Television is a form of entertainment for many, and the strike has affected viewing options.
