Betty Uppenborn demonstrates a process used long ago to grade egg sizes by placing the egg in the holes in this measuring tool.  Betty says she used it for some time on their old family farm, as did  those before her.  Her best guess is that it is about  60 to  80 years old.

Mini, a three-and-a-half pound Yorkshire Terrier, copilots for Greg Johnson when he power mows the lawns in his yard, or those for some of his neighbors.  Greg says that Mini sits still in the crook of his arm “for hours, never complains, but sometimes it looks as if she is telling me how to do my job”.

The McWatters family in Louis Creek have a batch of baby mini goats that interact with the people, and for this photo, were even in the house.  Miniature goats make great pets, they are hardy and have a great temperament, with sizes ranging from 40cm to 60cm (15” to 24”).
