RCMP officer accused of assaulting teen

A Williams Lake teenager says she was punched in the face several times by an RCMP officer while she was handcuffed in the back of a police car.

The incident appears to have taken place at or near the Nimpo Lake post office and coffee shop on Highway 20. Both the post office and coffee shop would have been closed at the time of the incident.

WL resident dies in police-involved shooting

Police are releasing little information about a police-involved shooting in the Nimpo Lake area that has left a Williams Lake resident dead.

Billyboy verdict expected in November
