To draw attention to its new Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline, Shell stations in Cloverdale and Whalley sold the fuel for 10 cents a litre on Tuesday (Aug. 25) during separate one-hour events at the two locations.
About 400 motorists enjoyed the cheap fill-ups at 176 Street and 64 Avenue, and 148 Street and 108 Avenue.
The company says the new gasoline is an innovative, patent-pending formulation that provides total engine protection against gunk, wear and corrosion. It’s the only premium gasoline recommended by BMW for the BMW M series vehicles.
In addition to the hour-long cheap fuel event on Tuesday, customers were also able to enter to win one of 100 BMWs being given away. One winner in North America will be drawn each day for 100 days until Sept. 8.
