An Enderby business has done its part to beautify the community.
Baron Insurance Broker Group has received $857 for participating in the Enderby Business Beautification Program, which is a partnership between Community Futures North Okanagan and the City of Enderby.
The incentive represented 10 per cent of the material costs associated with a rear facade improvement, which included refinishing and installing lighting and a new business sign.
“We are very pleased to have been able to participate in the beautification program and we appreciate the efforts of the city and Community Futures in beautifying the community,” said Chuck Melanson, with Baron Insurance.
The program was a financial incentive that ran throughout 2013 to assist commercial property owners located in Enderby to beautify their facades.
“The work Baron Insurance has done to their commercial facade shows their commitment towards beautifying our community,” said Mayor Howie Cyr.
“The beautification program is another helpful service that allows Enderby business owners to improve their storefronts, attract new customers, and sustain their presence in the community,” added Norm Metcalf, Community Futures general manager.
