INVERMERE — Copper Point Resort is celebrating after an award-winning Saturday night in Kelowna the weekend of January 28.

The Invermere-area condo resort received its first customer service recognition from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of Central Okanagan, which recognizes the industry’s best in residential home building.

At the annual Tommie Awards, Copper Point Resort won for Excellence in Customer Service — Builder, and Excellence in Sales Team in New Home Construction.

“This is a humbling recognition for our team and I want to thank everyone for their efforts,” said Rohit Gupta, CFO of the Rohit Group of Companies, Copper Point’s parent company.

“Customer service is a top priority for our organization and we will work towards maintaining that superior level of service in all facets of our company.”

BobbyJo Wiebe, marketing representative for Rohit, says the award is another great piece of recognition for the Columbia Valley.

“Alongside other prominent people in the various communities, we work together in creating value for the valley. We work hard together to showcase this magnificent destination and promote this as a spectacular place to be where people want to live, stay, work and play,” she said.

“There have been many prestigious awards brought back to the valley by many businesses, services and individuals and that brings this valley’s recognition to a whole new level and proves time and time again what great services we have here in the valley.”

This is the second year in a row that the luxury condominium vacation resort was recognized by the Canadian Homebuilders.

Last year, it received nine silver nominations for its marketing campaign and took home three golden statues for best logo, individual ad and advertising campaign.

“I am proud for what the team accomplished here at the resort, I am proud to be a part of it,” said Wiebe.

“It’s a powerful recognition and it’s humbling… I think these awards, in addition to every award, are a perfect opportunity to show visitors what we are all about here in the valley and why they should come experience all there is here.”

The condo resort has been opened to the public since May 2011 but the sales team has been  working on condominium sales for the resort since May 2010.
