Craftsman Collision is continuing with its expansion in B.C.

The company will opens its 30th shop at 27th Street and 35th Avenue, the old Walthers property in Vernon, June 2.

The facility will be 11,000 square feet in size.

“We are pleased to have established this additional location as it will help us better serve our customers in the Okanagan and central BC,” said Rick Hatswell, chief operating officer.

“This newest location joins three other shops in Kelowna, West Kelowna and Kamloops. It greatly enhances our regional concentration by strengthening our brand awareness and increasing market share through repeat traffic and referrals. This location is well situated on a property shared with two well-recognized brands; Tim Hortons and Co-op Gas and Food Bar, which will enhance our profile to current and prospective customers.”

Shop manager Mike Mason is a long-time resident of Vernon and he has worked in the automotive sector since 1979, first as a bodyman, then as an estimator for ICBC, where he spent 13 years.

He has also managed and owned his own body shops for 16 years.

“He has a highly qualified team behind him consisting of auto body repairers, painters and technicians,” said Hatswell.
