Staff and residents of South Surrey’s Pacifica Retirement Residence continued an enchanted tradition this month, with their seventh annual Festival of Trees.
The Dec. 7 event – in which trees sponsored by local businesses are put on display – raised more than $6,000 for the Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation.
Since its inception, the event has raised more than $16,000 in support of the local community.
This year’s funds – $6,244.55 in all – will benefit expansion of the Peace Arch Hospital emergency department.
