Envision Financial is opening its new Highstreet location Nov. 16.
“We are looking forward to welcoming members of the Abbotsford community to our new home,” says Shana Temple, branch manager.
To honour a unique piece of Abbotsford’s history, the grand opening celebrations (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) will include a gold-panning station set up for children. The development of Abbotsford began in 1858 when the Royal Engineers surveyed the area as a result of the Gold Rush along the Fraser River. This led to the construction of Yale Road – known today as Old Yale Road – the first transportation route to link the Fraser Valley. Children who find a piece of gold will receive a chocolate coin, and for every piece of gold found, Envision Financial will donate $1 to its Full Cupboard program.
There will also be a barbecue by donation prepared by Memphis Blues, with all proceeds going to the Full Cupboard, Envision Financial’s innovative new program designed to raise food, funds and awareness for local food banks. Through this initiative, Envision Financial has committed to raising $1 million for local food banks in the next 10 years.
Prizes will also be available – including four $250 cashable term deposits which will be given away on the four days leading up to the grand opening celebration and one $500 cashable term deposit which will be given away on Nov. 16.
A ribbon cutting will be held at noon. Highstreet is lcoated at 3122 Mt. Lehman Rd.
