After years of working hard and serving the community the time has finally come for Keith Olsen and Vince Milligan to embrace retirement and do a little travelling.

The couple became valued members of the community back in 1998.

They opened the business known as Kevin Acres, joined various community groups and ran their farm at home. Olsen served the community as a council member and Mayor of the Town of Princeton as well.

In 2009, the decision was made to down size their business. They moved to their fifth location in town and brought Everything Pets to its home in the Plaza Mall in January of 2010.

“What a pleasure it has been being involved with this community,” said Olsen, “the acceptance of the people is phenomenal, the support in business, on council and working with the various groups has been a lot of fun.” “I’ve made more friends here than anywhere else in my life,” he added.

Earlier this year, Audrey Blanchette and Jack Angstadt stopped in at Everything Pets and asked Olsen if he had ever thought about selling.

“Well… now that you mention it…” was his response, leading into the absolute decision to sell and retire.

Blanchette and Angstadt had been planning for their future—something that would help with “Freedom 70,” as Blanchette said, as there really isn’t a freedom 60 anymore,” she added with a smile.

Angstadt owns and operates his own trucking business so Banchette will be the face you see full time at the store. She wants to assure customers that the products they like will remain in the store and that she is very much looking forward to meeting everyone.

On Saturday, Nov. 3 come down to the Open House celebration at Everything Pets from 11 a.m., to 4 p.m. Enjoy some refreshments, win door prizes and offer your congratulations to the happy retirees and the brand new owners of Everything Pets.

Oh, and by the way—Olsen and Milligan do plan to give Blanchette a hand in the spring—green thumbs anyone?
