Feedback sought in Lake Country

Business leaders will call on entrepreneurs to get a sense of the business climate in the area

Lake Country businesses will be visited by leaders of the business community between 9 a.m. and noon Tuesday as the Central Okanagan Business Walk helps launch Small Business Month in Canada.

Business leaders will call on entrepreneurs to get a sense of the business climate in the area.

“The Business Walk provides an opportunity for our partners and stakeholders to connect face-to-face with individuals in the business community and to take the pulse of the economic climate as well as identify businesses that require one-on-one support or expertise from the commission,” said Corie Griffiths, business development officer with the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission.

There was an industry-specific walk for manufacturers in May.

As a result, one-on-one follow up assistance has been provided to businesses related to such topics as signage, zoning, parking, exporting and business-to-business connections.

Business Walk will also occur within other communities in the Central Okanagan.
