There’s more construction activity in Vernon.
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation reports there were 35 housing starts in April, up from 15 during the same month in 2012.
Of the 35 starts, there were 13 single-detached units and 22 multiple units.
Year-to-date, there have been 65 housing starts built in the Vernon area.
That compares to 56 during the first four months of 2012.
