Milner Heights earns multiple honours at home building awards ceremony

Langley’s Milner Heights took home a lot of hardware at this year’s home building Georgie Awards.

Vesta Properties who created the Milner Heights project on 208 Street won the grand Georgie award for best residential community of the year. It also won for best Green street, best multi-family landscape design and sustainable and innovative special achievement award.

Milner Heights is located on the Willoughby slope on 208 Street and gained its distinction with its English manor and Georgian colonial architectural details.

The Georgie awards is hosted by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC (CHBA BC) and the ceremony marks the 20th anniversary of the awards.

The Milner Heights project features five distinct home styles, including manor homes, townhomes, rowhomes and single family homes with attached and detached garages.Vesta’s project won a green award for using green appliances and heating system, as well as lighting and other materials. While situated near Langley’s shopping area of Costco and other big box stores, Milner Heights has the advantage of being built along an environmental reserve with pathways, green space and a large pond.
