On May 11, $2 from every burger platter or combo will be donated to Canadian Red Cross

White Spot restaurants across B.C. and Alberta — and B.C. Ferries vessels which serve White Spot on board — are teaming up to support the Fort McMurray wildfire victims.

On Wednesday, May 11, White Spot restaurants will donate $2 from the sale of every burger platter or combo to the Canadian Red Cross.

“White Spot has been serving Albertans for nearly 20 years,” said Warren Erhart, White Spot president.

“Thanks to the thoughtfulness and generosity of our amazing restaurant staff in Edmonton and Leduc, our initial response to the crisis in Fort McMurray was immediate. But as a company with our roots in Western Canada, we wanted to do more.

“Victims of the wildfire still need help, so we have reached out to our family of franchisees and partners, and they have been unanimous in their agreement to provide support.”

“We are so grateful for White Spot’s desire to support our relief efforts in Alberta,” said Kimberley Nemrava, vice-president, Canadian Red Cross B.C. and Yukon.

Your donations will help provide relief for those affected by the wildfire in the form of emergency food, clothing, shelter, personal services, and other necessities now, and in the weeks and months ahead.”

There are White Spot locations in Langley (19651 Fraser Hwy.), Walnut Grove (20077 91A Ave.) and Aldergrove (Unit B 3070 264 St.).
