A local law firm has rallied behind an organization that helps individuals with developmental disabilities.
Davidson Lawyers has donated 12 refurbished computers to the Kindale Development Association for use in the office and training situations.
“We are very excited to receive these computers,” said Cindy Masters, Kindale development officer.
“The donation of these computers significantly upgraded our capacity at Mainstreet Connections, allowing more than 30 individuals access to e-mail, social media, help with their job search and so much more.”
The computers were part of a group of almost 40 units refurbished by Davidson and presented to 18 different community groups throughout the North Okanagan.
“Like most major firms, we replace computers every three years, and this time we sat down with staff to seek more creative ways of passing them on,” said Jay Hack, Davidson managing partner.
“We’re pleased and excited that Kindale has been able to put the computers to such terrific use in the community.”
