If you aren’t coughing and sneezing up a January storm, you may have a stomach rolling like the hills.

If you aren’t coughing and sneezing up a January storm, you may have a stomach rolling like the hills.

It’s cold and flu season and along side the swapping of germs is the sharing of home remedies.

The Nelson Star is hosting a contest that asks readers to submit their best remedies for what ails them. Whether it be the classic honey and lemon or trendy oil of oregano, we want to know how to get over these nasty winter viruses.

“It seems everyone has struggled with being unwell this time of year,” says publisher Karen Bennett. “And no one likes being sick. Let’s share our best ideas of how to stay well.”

To enter visit nelsonstar.com and select the contest button in the top right corner of our web page. Chose Cold&Flu and submit your suggestion.

One lucky winner will receive a prize package and the submitted remedies will be published in the Nelson Star on January 29th.

Sponsors are Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences, Kootenay Co-op and Natural Choice Pharmacy.
