Lone Pine Ranch rounds up new look

Lone Pine Ranch is back in the business of throwing parties.

The Goode family ranch, located near Predator Ridge, has opened its gates to wedding and event planner Dee Cristante.

With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Cristante is excited to bring her expertise to the location.

Lone Pine Ranch was a popular event destination but closed its doors to events in 2007.

Cristante, partner Kevin Krammer and their team of professionals, Gina Broere and Elaina Stepanchuck, have been working diligently since February to transform the show barn into a country-chic showpiece.

“The feeling is country elegance in a relaxed casual atmosphere,” said Cristante.

The ranch will host many different events including wedding ceremonies, elopement packages, receptions, barn dances, Ranchmen’s Club and old fashioned singles dances, focusing on the 40-plus crowd.

The location boasts many attractions, like the 1890s New York wedding bell brought to the ranch by the Goode family from Texas in the early 1970s and the 1906 historical homestead located on the back 700 acres of the ranch.

There is also the recently purchased 1930s grand French chandelier from an estate in Lumby that will be showcased over the bride and groom’s head table.

Lone Pine Ranch is celebrating the grand re-opening with a Mother’s Day Family Festival May 8 from noon to 4 p.m.

The day of family fun will also be one couple’s wedding day.

The ranch and Kiss FM teamed up to hold a contest called the First Shot Gun wedding at Lone Pine Ranch.

One lucky couple will win their dream wedding ceremony, which will take place at 3 p.m. and is open to the public.

The schedule of events for Sunday includes music by the OK Corral, dance demonstrations by Ruth McGrath Dance Studio, complimentary wine tasting for the first 100 moms, marshmallows at the cowboy campfire, meet the Clydesdales, County Manor Catering and saloon service. Activities run from noon to 4 p.m.

The cost of the event is $10 per vehicle.
