Selair has partnered with Selkirk College’s aviation program to offer private pilot licence training at Abbotsford International Airport.

Students will receive a minimum 45 hours of private pilot flight training in C-172 P Selair airplanes, under the direction and supervision of Alexander Burton. Burton has more than 15 years of experience as a pilot, flight instructor and educational program developer.

Once individuals have completed the private pilot licence at Selair, they are eligible to become a pilot-in-command or co-pilot of an airplane.

Licence holders wanting to pursue a career in aviation also have the opportunity to apply for entry into Selkirk’s two-year aviation – professional pilot program.

Selkirk College has been working with Selair for more than 40 years to provide an aviation program that trains pilots for entry-level positions in the Canadian aviation industry, while keeping pace with advances in flight technology.
