New Campbell River Shoppers Drug Mart opens

The eager shoppers wanted to get a look at the brand-new store and be one of the first 200 people to snag a complimentary goody bag.

A line-up greeted Shoppers Drug Mart employees outside their new store in Timberline Village Saturday morning.

The eager shoppers wanted to get a look at the brand-new store and be one of the first 200 people to snag a complimentary goody bag.

The store opened at 8 a.m. to a variety of activities and specials, including 20 draws for $25 Shoppers Drug Mark gift cards, free makeovers and skin analysis with beauty experts.

The new Shoppers, which will be open 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. seven days a week, joins TD Canada Trust as the second tenant to open in Timberline Village, the new shopping complex on the corner of Dogwood and Hilchey.

Quinsam Medical Centre and Papa Murphy’s pizza are expected to open within the next month while a Subway is slated to open on January 10. A dental clinic, Fresh Dental, rounds out Timberline Village though there is no definite opening date slated yet.

There are still a few spaces remaining for lease.
