New directors elected to chamber board

Ann Harper to serve at the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce board president

The five newly elected directors to the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are eager to start their new volunteer roles as the “voice of business” in Mission.

Acclaimed President Ann Harper is looking forward to the launching into the new strategic directions that evolved in the chamber’s 120th year with the new faces who have taken on the duty to support the business community in Mission.

“The Chamber has an exciting year ahead and I look forward over the coming months to telling you about how we can help grow business in Mission,” states Harper. With more than four years on the board, Ann, a local accountant, brings her fiscal management and positive community outlook to the table.

Joining the board for the first time are Andrea Walker, Dustin Hughes, Grace Martin and Kristin Parsons. Each brings with them a fresh perspective and openness to learning about the community. Providing some guidance will be Elyssa Lockhart, returning to the board for her fifth term.

Rounding out the executive of the chamber board are vice-president Pam Alexis and treasurer Sean Melia, who is a past chamber president.

The new board will have its first meeting April 3.
