A huge increase to the number of visitors to the Tourism Langley website — almost 400 per cent over the last year — has led to a new mobile-friendly website.
“Highly simplified navigation makes it easy for users to move around the site and access a large amount of listing/event data,” said Eric Shelkie, a partner and technical director at smashLAB, the digital agency which came up with the original website www.tourism-langley.ca.
The two main goals for the new mobile-friendly site were design and navigation, resulting in a light and efficient site with a unique look capturing the essence of the Langleys.
Mobile visitors will be redirected to the new site and will have access to information on places to stay, things to do, event listings and news and deals.
“As a smart phone and tablet user myself, I find great value and convenience with such function provided by a travel destination,” said Jeff Leung, general manager of the Holiday Inn Express Langley.
