Nor-val Rentals hosts public open house

There will be an open house at the Vernon location Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nor-Val Rentals is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

There will be an open house at the Vernon location Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Nor-Val would like to thank all of our customers and staff, both past and present, for allowing us to serve the local community for the last 20 years,” said Jim Clipperton, general manager.

Thursday’s open house will feature suppliers providing information on products and equipment, many of which will be on display. Several pieces of used equipment will be on sale, while hot dogs, burgers and refreshments will also be served to the public.

“We wouldn’t be celebrating this remarkable achievement without the support of both the local and surrounding communities, and we look forward to continue serving them for many years to come,” said Clipperton.

Nor-Val Rentals was founded in 1994 in Armstrong by Paul and Shirley Miron and their son, Jim Clipperton.

Since then, Nor-Val has expanded to stores in Vernon and Lake Country, while adding Nor-Val Event Rentals in 2007.

In 2006, the Mirons decided to pass the company on and Clipperton welcomed two new partners, Ralph Leyenhorst and Larry Vandergugten.

Over the last 20 years, Nor-Val has been active in the community.

“We are honoured to be supporters of community events and charities,” said Clipperton.
