What better way to celebrate National Pancake Day then a free stack of pancakes?
That is what’s on the menu at IHOP locations across Canada, including in Langley (19700 Langley Bypass) on Tuesday (March 3).
In exchange for a free stack of buttermilk pancakes, guests are asked to make a donation with money being collected to the Children’s Miracle Network.
The event goes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Guests can also purchase Miracle Balloons for either $1 of $5 and the latter balloons come with a coupon for $5 off the next visit.
All of the donations raised in a specific community stay in that area, meaning B.C. Children’s Hospital will be the beneficiary of the Langley IHOP donations.
“Our franchisees, their team members and everyone at IHOP are looking forward to celebrating our second National Pancake Day in Canada,” said Daniel Del Olmo, the president of International, DineEquity, Inc., the parent company of IHOP.
“It is a perfect expression of the commitment we and our franchisees have to giving back to our local communities. During our first National Pancake Day, thanks to the generosity of our guests, we were able to raise $35,000 to help sick and injured children and, with the promotion’s fast growing support in Canada, we are hoping to easily surpass that total this year.”
National Pancake Day began in the U.S. 10 years ago and has raised $16 million. This is its second year in Canada and last year saw $35,000 raised.
