Pankratz earns lifetime membership into CGABC

The local certified general accountant has been in public practice since 1986

Abbotsford’s John Pankratz has received a lifetime membership award from the Certified General Accountants Association of B.C. (CGABC).

This honour is in recognition of meritorious service to the profession in B.C. and is the highest honour conferred by CGABC.

Pankratz is a partner at Friesen Pankratz & Associates LLP. In 1986 he entered public practice and in 1988 received his CGA designation.

“He has been a dynamic member in the association, serving on the local chapter board from 1988 to 1997, as well as holding numerous positions with provincial boards and committees,” said a press release.

Pankratz’s efforts haven’t been limited to professional work. He has also acted as treasurer of the Valley Squadron of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons for 10 years, served on the board of finance for the Bakerview Church, as an examiner and area administrator for the Royal Life Saving Society, and this year he was appointed to the board of the University of the Fraser Valley.
