It is something the community has responded to, earning them the title of one of the Top 10 businesses in a Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce social media contest. People were asked to comment on their favourite small business in Penticton and Patio Burger and Ice Cream Co. was one that received the most mentions.
Patio Burger and Ice Cream Co. was built with three goals in mind to give Lakawanna Park more respect by adding over 500 new plants, flowers and trees, to repair and rebuild the current building that was falling apart and to create a menu and concept that people would embrace.
“Reception has been absolutely overwhelming,” said owner Gord Ferguson. “I made a promise to the community that this park and signature corner of the city needed more respect and I think we have created something that everyone can be proud of.”
Now ready for their second season, the operation goal at Patio Burger is to create positive memories for every customer by making the entire dining experience just that — an experience. Upon taking their first steps onto Burger Blvd. Patio Burger takes its customers out of their daily lives for 45 to 90 minutes and gives them an experience that uplifts the human spirit through their music, decor, classic flavours and honest service delivery.
