Prospera staff lend a hand for B.C. charities

Prospera Credit Union employees from the Okanagan to Vancouver contributed 1,544 volunteer hours

During the recent National Volunteer Week, Prospera Credit Union employees from the Okanagan to Vancouver contributed 1,544 volunteer hours for United Way agencies in their local communities.

In total, staff members across B.C. had 33 volunteer opportunities to choose from, including the North Okanagan Child Care Society in Vernon.

“We all know that volunteering strengthens our communities at a grassroots level and that’s something that means a lot to us as a credit union,” said Bruce Howell, Prospera’s president and CEO.

“Our purpose as an organization is to meet the needs of people in our communities and by offering an annual day of caring, each member of our staff has the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for others.”
