Employees of the local Nestlé Waters Canada plant have a lot to be proud of after being recognized not only by their peers but by their parent company as well.
In a surprise inspection the local water bottling plant was rated at 97.3 per cent in an independent audit by the Canadian Bottled Water Association.
To win an ‘Excellence in Manufacturing’ standing from the association employees and management had to score top marks in a variety of areas including how well they handle customer complaints to production line health.
The Canadian Bottled Water Association also promotes within its membership sustainable development, environmental protection, and collaboration with local communities in water resource management.
From their parent company, Nestle Water’s North America, the local plant shared a second award with its sister plant in Ontario. Both Canadian plants were dubbed the company’s ‘Supply Chain of the Year’ for their logistic excellence. The two water plants were judged on cost-management, overall productivity, overall performance, quality and safety – a first win for the Canadian arm of the Nestle Waters family.
“Achievements such as these speak very well of the continuous commitment to manufacturing and logistics excellence by each and every one of our employees at our Hope bottling facility,” said manager David Thorpe, director of the supply chain.
