The Revelstoke Accommodation Association has entered the mobile age with a new website that will allow visitors to access their website on mobile phones. Here is a media release from Revelstoke Accommodation Association marketing manager Thom Tischik:

The Revelstoke Accommodation Association has just launched the new StayInRevelstoke.com mobi website. This new initiative has been designed to take advantage of the latest smart-phone and tablet technology and the growing number or travellers that use these devices while planning their vacation. “We know,” stated Thom Tischik, Marketing Manager for the Revelstoke Accommodation Association, “that many travellers arriving throughout the year in Revelstoke may not have pre-booked their accommodation, especially our European visitors who make-up a large portion of our Summer traffic.

“This new site will make it easy for the traveller to seek out and book their accommodation quickly.” This new site is not an app, but rather a dedicated website that features information about the 19 RAA Member hotels and resorts, motels and inns, bed & breakfasts, guest houses and hostels.

The RAA is a leader in the creation of this brand new site that allows the user to search out each property’s location, get directions to the location, check out the amenities, rates and even take a look at several photos of each property.  The site also has selections for ‘Helpful Links’ that list a variety of local websites as well as traveller assistance sites such as weather, road conditions, avalanche conditions and community sites to make coming to Revelstoke as easy and safe as possible. The site also has an ‘Explore Near Me’ option that uses GPS technology to locate accommodations close to the users location. The website is also linked to GOOGLE Maps for efficient directions to a member property from any location.

The site uses the new Revelstoke logo and colour scheme to create an attractive, clean and easy to navigate format.

Promotion of this website will feature the use of QR tag technology. All print advertising will feature the tag and a simple scan by the phone will take them to the StayInRevelstoke.com mobi website.
