A Vernon realtor is taking on a leadership role in the industry.
Rob Shaw, with Royal LePage Downtown Realty, is the new vice-president of the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board.
“I look forward to continuing and increasing my involvement in real estate through working with our dedicated team of volunteers and staff at the board to continue to provide the highest quality services to our members and the public,” he said.
“The year ahead should be fun, helping provide leadership and managing change effectively.
Shaw has been a member of OMREB since 1995 and has served as a director for six years.
This year’s executive also includes Vernon realtors Darcy Griffiths, with Re/Max, and Rorie Holton, with Royal LePage.
The president for 2011/2 is George Cwiklewski of Kelowna.
OMREB consists of 1,149 realtors and 86 real estate offices in the North Okanagan, Shuswap and Central Okanagan.
