Test Drive for Charity

The North Surrey Lions Club is holding a fund raiser on Sept. 22.

Test Drive for Charity

On Saturday, Sept. 22 at Canadian Tire on 102 Avenue in Surrey, the North Surrey Lions Club will collaborate with Barnes Wheaton GM to raise funds for local charities. For every test drive, Barnes Wheaton will give $25 to the North Surrey Lions.

The public is encouraged to come out and support the North Surrey Lions – the goal is 240 test drives.

Volunteering is a great way to connect with your community. The North Surrey Lions Club continually accepts new  members who have an interest in contributing to their community.

Since 1957, the North Surrey Lions have lived by the motto: “We Serve.”

Serving to support, commit, and donate their time and compassion to improve their community.  Focusing on people in need in Surrey remains a priority for the North Surrey Lions Club.  Every year, the North Surrey Lions Club raises thousands of dollars for a variety of groups including the Surrey Food Bank, the Surrey Christmas Bureau, Surrey Urban Mission, the Scouts, and CNIB.

The North Surrey Lions club is a part of Lions Clubs International. Lions Club International currently has over 1.3 million members in 202 countries all serving to meet the needs of those within their communities.

If you have an interest in giving back to your community, join the North Surrey Lions Club (www.northsurreylionsclub.com).  At the very least, come out and help the North Surrey Lions Club meet their goal of 240 Test Drives on Sept. 22.
