Vancity is providing grants of up to organizations dedicated to positive change in the local community.
As part of sharing its success, Vancity is helping to support the communities where its members live and work by providing community grants.
Up to $10,000 is available to organizations in the Surrey region that help create sustainable places to live, invests for positive change in the community and/or projects that are focused on educating people on how to build their wealth.
Funding is available for the following categories:
· $10,000: maximum funding for projects/programs
· $2,500: maximum funding for conferences, workshops, and forums
· $1,000: maximum funding for community festivals
Funding is provided for up to 70 per cent of the total project/program budget, including cash and in kind contributions.
Deadline for submission is Jan. 30, 2012.
