Just in time for the holiday season, Vernon’s Village Green Centre has launched the 2014 Catch the Spirit Fun and Games micro-website.
The prizes and family fun will run throughout the holidays and encourage Canadians to get festive online and at their local Bentall Kennedy-managed shopping centres throughout Canada.
The What Kind of Holiday Shopper Are You personality quiz includes a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree.
As an added bonus, there are 19 secondary prizes of $250 shopping sprees.
Another element of Catch the Spirit is Nominate a Holiday Hero. This will allow applicants to nominate a notable person in their community – someone they feel is committed to making a difference. Whether a helpful neighbour, school teacher, firefighter, caregiver or sports coach, Catch the Spirit’s hero committee wants to hear from citizens about the extraordinary members of their community. The selected winner will receive a $500 prepaid Visa.
“This festive time of year is all about giving and goodwill, and our nominate a Holiday Hero program will profile the good deeds of those that have caught the spirit. We’re excited to give a $500 shopping spree for the best act of kindness,” said Bonney Rempel, with Bentall Kennedy.
The Catch the Spirit website features digital colouring pages, a holiday jukebox and an online story time you can customize for your child.
Other features include email your letter to Santa, send a holiday e-card and a Christmas cookbook and crafts section. The site can be found at www.villagegreencentre.com.
