Zipline ready for summer

Oyama Zipline has launched three new courses for visitors to come and check out

There are new adventures in the hills above Lake Country.

Oyama Zipline has launched three new courses — a high-ropes aerial park, a bungy-like QuickJump ride and a low course for ages three to 11.

“The forest adventure park now has activities and rides for every age group,” said owner Peter Madsen.

“The 2.5-hour guided zipline tour is now complimented by three self-guided forest attractions for both fitness and fun.”

The new high ropes courses are expected to be popular.

“The aerial park will draw all ages. It has three levels of difficulty: green, blue and black diamond tree-top obstacle courses,” said owner Jennifer Madsen.

The Madsens imagine athletes and those looking for variety in their exercise programs to use the aerial obstacle courses for workouts.

“Birthday party events, sports team training, and corporate team-building events are in the works to increase the flow of fun-seeker to Lake Country,” said Jennifer.

For the Madsens, the goal is  to try and bring more visitors to the community as a way of bolstering the Lake Country economy.

“With this new adventure park open every day of the week, Lake Country’s brand is bound to explode even further with top-rated Trip Advisor’s Okanagan outdoor adventures like Oyama Zipline, and the rail trail initiative passing through,” said Jennifer.

“Building scenic public spaces is the Okanagan way.”
