Sunshine Coast artist Lori Morris will team up with Langley’s Quintessential Jazz Band for an evening of Acrylic Jazz at the Watershed Arts Café, on Friday Nov. 25 at 7 p.m.

Morris is an established artist and custom home designer who paints bold Sunshine Coast inspired landscapes and seascapes in the medium of acrylic.

Her refreshing style of artwork is on display at the Watershed Arts Café for the month of November.

Long time friends with members of Langley’s Quintessential Jazz Band, Morris will show her works to the sounds of live jazz.

“We plan on playing an evening of upbeat ‘in your face’ jazz inspired by Lori’s vivid artistic style,” said bassist Gerry Teichrob.

“We have enjoyed the opportunity to play jazz on the Sunshine Coast for a few shows, we are happy Lori can come to Langley and share her work on our turf.”

Quintessential Jazz Band has been a fixture in the Langley area since 2005, playing classic jazz with a twist. The band is made up of members Teichrob, Doug Dunbar on guitar and sax, Phyllis Heppner on keyboard and Tyler Friesen on drums.

Tickets are $10 and are available online at www.quintessentialjazz.ca or www.watershedartscafe.com, or at the door.
