Jenny Bice of Murphy's Lagh performs on the Twilight stage this week.

The Mission Heritage Association invites the public join them in Fraser River Heritage Park as the 24th season of the Envision Financial Twilight Concert Series continues.

Local favourites Kitchen Sync return to the Envision Financial Twilight Concert stage on Friday, June 20 from 7 to 8 p.m. As founder of the Stepping Stone Music Company, Liisa Nessim has been instructing aspiring musicians of the Fraser Valley for years. It was in the Stepping Stone studio that Kitchen Sync was formed, bringing together eclectic local artists to perform original songs and covers. Kitchen Sync always performs from the heart, promising a rousing and crowd-pleasing evening in the park.

The Envision Financial Twilight Concert Series welcomes Murphy’s Lagh to Fraser River Heritage Park on Wednesday, June 25 from 7 to 8 p.m. Belfast-born singer, guitarist, and tin whistle master Damian Brennan joins with local fiddling sensation Jennie Bice to form Murphy’s Lagh, a band well known at local venues and concert series throughout B.C. Pouring energy and passion into every performance, Murphy’s Lagh entrances their audience with everything from soft Irish ballads to fiddle and bodhran-driven reels.

On Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7-8 p.m. from June 4 to August 29, bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for a range of live music at Fraser River Heritage Park. Concert goers are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner or treat themselves to a special pre-concert meal at the Blackberry Kitchen or The Log Cabin Café. Admission to the concerts is free, though donations to this community-based series are appreciated.
