A local band is putting on a fundraiser for the South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society, combining art and music at Fibonacci’s Cafe tomorrow.

The event features the band Umbrage and the paintings of Caroline Hild, who suffered a massive stroke a decade ago.

“The stroke knocked out her speech centre and she spent several years in speech therapy and rehab and has turned out to be a very good watercolour painter through the Therapy Through Art program at SOSBIS,” said Wally Hild, Caroline’s husband and the band’s leader.

Tickets are $10 for the March 26 show, which runs from 8 to 11 p.m.
