There’ll be art classes for all ages this fall with the City of Campbell River Recreation Department.
Sharon Sanford returns to offer a variety of art classes, including bead work, doodle art, frosted luminares and painted snowman candle holders.
For the Pro-D day on Monday, Sept. 30, children can be creative with sparkling beads and make a necklace with matching bracelet and embossed pin. On the next Pro-D day Friday, Oct. 25, children can create and paint unique candle holders luminares just in time for Halloween. Both classes are offered at the Community Centre, and all supplies will be provided. Classes for children in Kindergarten to Grade 2 will be held from 9 a.m. ‘til noon. Children in Grades 3-6 can attend between 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. The cost of each class is $18.
Oct. 3-17, Sharon will share doodle art techniques in Geo-Doodle Art classes at the Sportsplex. The simple lines and geometric shapes create sophisticated and inspired doodle art that can be used on clothing, for art projects and cards. Classes for youth 10 through 13 years will be held between 6 and 7 p.m. Adults and older teens can attend between 7:15 and 9:15 p.m. Youth cost is $22. Fee for adults and older teens is $36.
Just in time for Christmas, youth in Grade 4 and up can sign up to decorate a cute snowman candle holder and, while the paint dries, create an ornament. This class will be held at the Community Centre on Saturday, December 7 between 1 and 3 p.m. Cost is $18.
