July 2

  • Super Saturday –Creative Canadian

Campbell River Art Gallery

1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Come extend the Canada Day celebrations at the next Super Saturday event .

Participants will get a chance to recreate and draw images that capture the spirit of their Canada Day. Super Saturday is for all ages and is free, although donations are accepted.

Special thanks to Marna Disbrow, whose donation makes this program possible.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tidemark Theatre Art Gallery

The Campbell River Arts Council is pleased to present works by Youth 4 Diversity (Y4D) at the Tidemark Art Gallery (the TAG) Be sure to drop in from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m .  Everyone welcome.

  • Good Timber – Song & Stories of the Western Logger

Tidemark Theatre

2 p.m. and 8 p.m. both days

Celebrate the golden age of logging in BC – and the legendary hookers, hi-riggers, fallers, whistle punks, and locie engineers. An original rollicking musical theatre revue, Good Timber is based on the logger poetry of Robert E Swanson, the Bard of the Woods.Tickets: $27 Adults, $22 Members, $17 Students

  • ‘Art Extravaganza’ Children’s Art Class

Campbell River Art Gallery

10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m

The Campbell River Art Gallery is offering “Art Extravaganza” – a children’s art class with curatorial assistant Jessica Blue on four Tuesdays in July. Students from ages seven to 12 will work with a variety of tools and techniques, such as painting, collage and drawing.

The fee is $36 for gallery members and $46 for non-members. Call 250-287-2261 for registration information.

 

July 6 – July 27

  • ‘Drawing Daze’ Children’s Art Class

Campbell River Art Gallery

10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m

Does your child love drawing? In the Campbell River Art Gallery’s “Drawing Daze” class, with curatorial assistant Jessica Blue, students will get a chance to work with pencil, charcoal, pastels, and more as they explore the different approaches and techniques of drawing.

The fee for the four week class is $36 for gallery members and $46 for non-members.
