Comedian Mike Delamont brings his show, God Is a Scottish Drag Queen, to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre for a two-act comedy show of biblical proportions on Oct. 14.
Delamont, an 18-time Best of the Fest winner, roasts everything from the Olympics to iPhone users in this epic one-man performance that mixes God with a bobbed wig, a floral power suit, and a Scottish accent.
He has had much success since starting stand-up comedy in 2011, being nominated just two years later for a Canadian Comedy Award for Break Out Comedian of the Year, performing at Just for Laughs and Halifax Comedy Festival, and of course God is a Scottish Drag Queen, which was nominated for the 2014 Just for Laughs Best Comedy Award and has had sold out shows all across North America.
Delamont is quick witted, and intelligent, and has a charisma that makes him stand out from the crowd. With this wildly talented comedian performing both Acts One and Two of the four-part series, it will be a night filled with gut-busting laughter that any comedy lover needs to attend.
God is a Scottish Drag Queen is Oct. 14 at the Cultural Centre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: adult $32, senior $29, student $27 and available at the Centre Box office, online at chilliwackculturalcentre.com, or by phone at 604-391-SHOW (7469).
