For many writers, the ultimate career is travelling the world and writing about it.
But how does a writer break into this field?
This fall, Boulevard magazine offers its second Travel Writing Seminar, an event proving anyone can write about their travels and find publishing opportunities.
“It’s for anyone who has dreamed of selling a travel story,” says Anne Mullens, the former managing editor of Boulevard who will lead the seminar.
“Participants get tips from an expert who has seen it all, professional coaching and editing, the chance for good trips, and the chance to have their work published.”
Three successful participants also win one of three hosted trips to write about for publication in Boulevard.
Boulevard’s Travel Writing Seminar takes place at the Hotel Grand Pacific on Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The cost is $340.
Registration can be done online at blvdmag.ca by clicking on Travel Writing Seminar under the writer’s area. For more information, call 250-480-3254.
