Calling all pied pipers, townspeople and rats in Campbell River

The Missoula Children's Theatre company is putting out a casting call for students to fill rolls in its production of the Piped Piper

Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s production of The Pied Piper on Mon., Jan. 30, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Penfield Elementary School. Those auditioning should arrive early and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.

Among the roles to be cast are the Pied Piper, Sara, the Mayor’s Son and Daughter, the Mayor’s Council, Cooks, Townkids and the troublesome Rats.

In all, about 50 actors are needed to put on the musical. School District 72 students, kindergarten through Grade 12, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary.

Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week, and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week at various times after school and in the early evening each day.

All rehearsals, except Friday night, will be held at Penfield.
