The Campbell River Singers look to Ireland and Wales for their Celtic inspired Christmas Concert.
It promises to be a wonderful evening of Christmas song and dance with their special guests, Tara School of Irish Dancing under the direction of Margaret Mullen.
This year, Conductor John Montgomery and Assistant Conductor Shelley Roberts, along with the 77 voice choir, will be bringing joyful Christmas music to the Tidemark Theatre on Saturday evening Dec. 7.
Along with the rhythmic Celtic themed carols, the Singers will be performing familiar Christmas medleys, some gospel and blues numbers, some traditional seasonal songs with a bit of a twist, and for you sports fans out there…something unexpected.
The Campbell River Singers Concert, a Campbell River tradition, is their way of bringing the warmth and joy of the Christmas Season to everyone. This year they are also honouring the memory of long-time choir members Ellen Nutting, and Shelley Rooney who are now singing with the angels. The choir will be performing one of Ellen’s favourite pieces, Gentle Voice, and dedicating it to her memory.
For an evening that is sure to warm your heart and to usher in the Christmas Season, bring family and friends to A Christmas Celebration on Saturday Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Tidemark Theatre Tickets available at the Tidemark (287-PINK).
