Celebrating one year of barn dancing in Chilliwack

Chilliwack Barn Dancing is celebrating its first anniversary of hosting community contra dances in downtown Chilliwack on Saturday, Nov. 12

Chilliwack Barn Dancing is celebrating its first anniversary of hosting community contra dances in downtown Chilliwack on Saturday, Nov. 12 with an evening of dancing along with cake and door prizes.

Whether you’re a regular or haven’t come to the events before, join them for an evening of family-friendly fun, exercise, and community-building.

New dancers are welcome, and they’ll teach everything you need to know to participate in their dances. You don’t need to bring a partner, and people of all ages are welcome.

In the spirit of Remembrance Day, armed forces veterans will receive free admission, and newcomers also get their first dance free as usual.

Regular admission: $8 per person or $20 per family.

The event takes place at Chilliwack United Church Hall (45835 Spadina Ave.). Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with a lesson beginning shortly after, followed by dancing until around 10:30pm (with breaks).
