Cods end tour in Armstrong

Cod Gone Wild hosts last of its Irish Pub Night tours at Armstrong's Royal York Golf Course club house, June 15.

For the past few months, Vernon Celtic-Maritime band Cod Gone Wild has been immersed in beer drinking songs and kissing the cod.

On the road the past few months in support of their new album, The Traveler, the band is returning to the North Okanagan with its Irish Pub Night tour.

“We have chosen Armstrong as our final tour stop,” said lead Cod Andrew Mercer, adding the band will perform at the new Royal York Golf Course club house on Friday, June 15 to finish up the tour.

“This is a smaller venue and there are only a limited number of tickets available.”

The show is modeled after the Irish Pub Night that Cod Gone Wild held during the Vernon Winter Carnival that was voted “Best Adult Event.”

Tickets are available through the Royal York Golf Course at a cost of $20 each. The Royal York Club House will also be open for dinner that evening beginning at 5 p.m., with show time at 8 p.m. This is a 19-plus event.
