The next Coldstream Coffee House features the Hugh Spinney Trio.
The trio showcases songs written by Spinney performed with lush three-part harmonies and virtuoso instrumentals.
The trio consists of Spinney, multi-instrumentalist Moneca Hillton and Alan Laidlaw, who grew up in Vernon.
Although Spinney now lives in Vernon, the three met and performed for years up in the Peace River area. Spinney’s songwriting style includes folk, blues, country, Latin and Celtic flavours.
This month’s Coldstream Coffee House takes place on Saturday at the Coldstream Women’s Institute Hall on Kal Lake Road, across from the Coldstream Elementary School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 with a concession by donation.
