Comedy Fest a success

The 15th Annual Comedy Fest raised more than $23,000 for the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen

The 15th Annual Comedy Fest raised more than $23,000 for the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen with all funds going to support the many community building activities of the foundation including the biannual Vital Signs Report, the YES Project, 100 Women Who Care, the Community Knowledge Centre, and the forthcoming Random Act of Kindness Day.

“It is the support of those local business who donated items for both our live and silent auctions that made this night a success because it allows us to continue the work we do in Penticton and throughout the South Okanagan Similkameen region,” said Aaron McRann, Executive Director, Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen. “Each year this event gets better and better with many laugh-out-loud moments,” added McRann.

Thanks to significant support from our Friends of the Foundation, all proceeds from this incredible event go towards building Smart & Caring Communities throughout the South Okanagan-Similkameen.

“We’re very fortunate to have such fantastic sponsors,” said McRann.  “Their support allows the Foundation to host this important fundraising event and grows our impact in each of the communities we serve,” added McRann.
