City and Colour, acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Dallas Green, has announced an extensive Canadian tour for 2017 that includes a stop in Penticton.

An Evening with City and Colour – Solo tour kicks off on April 1 and lands in Penticton at the Cleland Theatre on April 10. City and Colour will perform in an intimate theatre environment visiting 25 cities from coast-to-coast, many for the first time, coinciding with Canada’s 150th anniversary.

Green will perform songs from his vast award-winning catalogue, accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Matt Kelly from City and Colour’s touring band. General on-sale commences Friday, Feb. 3 at noon local for all markets.

City and Colour is working with Plus1 to collect $1 from the sale of each ticket that will be donated to Canada’s music education charity MusiCounts (Band Aid Program). Green has often mentioned how invaluable the support from his teachers was as he started to consider music as a career path. The Band Aid Program equips school music programs with the necessities to give students the chance to discover their talent, empowering them with skills that will help them excel both in the classroom and beyond.

Green’s achievements include three Juno Awards — including two Songwriter of the Year awards (2009, 2012), seven Platinum-certified albums and three Gold-certified albums in Canada (City and ColourAlexisonfire, and You+Me). Green’s latest and fifth City and Colour studio release, If I Should Go Before You (Dine Alone Records) debuted No.1 on the Top 200 Soundscan, his third consecutive chart-topper in Canada. The LP also made serious waves internationally debuting at No. 16 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart and No. 5 in Australia where Green’s LP Little Hell went Gold. In 2014, Green collaborated with international superstar Alecia Moore (aka P!nk) on a new project titled You+Me. The duo’s acclaimed debut, Rose Ave., debuted at No. 4 on the U.S. Top 200 Chart, No. 1 in Canada, No. 2 in Australia culminating in memorable performances on Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Having performed to countless sold-out crowds around the world, City and Colour recently headlined his first arena tour across Canada, including two sold out, consecutive nights at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto.
